Discussion and Possible Action to Approve Resolution 17-11-15 Accepting the Auburn Ridge Development Public Improvements and to Establish the 1 Year Warranty with a $12,000 Surety of Either a Letter of Credit or a Cash Deposit with Attendant Cash Escrow Agreement [Weigel]
BACKGROUND:
The Auburn Ridge development consist of 14 duplexes on a cul-de-sac just north of Capitol Drive near the Broken Hill Subdivision. This year the developer completed the final paving and all public improvements have been constructed.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Undefined. The acceptance of the public improvements brings maintenance responsibilities to the City once the warranty period ends.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
We request:
1) Common Council adopts the Resolution of Acceptance of the public improvements and commences the1-year warranty period;
2) Common Council establishes the amount of surety for the 1-year warranty at $12,000 in the form of either a letter of credit or cash deposit with attendant Cash Escrow Agreement. Either the letter of credit or Cash Escrow Agreement should be approved by the City Attorney as is appropriate.
